Spooktacular fun as centre is renamed 'Boo-lees' for Halloween

BOWLEES Visitor Centre held its annual Halloween event which included a range of fiendishly fun activities on Friday, October 27.

Renaming the centre “Boo-lees” for the day, children could try their hand at pumpkin carving, edible eye-making and broomstick making during the “spooktacular” event.

Visitor services officer, Mandy Oliver said: “It has been a very busy day so far and there are still plenty of exciting activities left for the children to do. We have a lot of happy faces here already and the activities have only just begun, so it is proving to be a ‘spooktacularly’ successful day.”

The event also included a spooky trail where children encountered a cauldron full of worms, slugs and snails, and even a spider’s web to crawl through. With the occasion being popular every year, the centre’s volunteers were not surprised that this year's Halloween Spooktacular was yet another success.
