COMEDY duo and award-winning podcasters Angelos Epithemiou and Barry from Watford will make their Barnard Castle debut this week.
If the characters seem familiar, Angelos Epithemiou is best known for performing score-keeping duties on Vic and Bob’s Shooting Stars.
Barry from Watford is one of the regular guests on Steve Wright’s Radio 2 afternoon show. He has recently been seen as a key part of the Channel 4 comedy game show series, Cheap Cheap Cheap, with Noel Edmunds.
On Friday, November 17, the pair will bring their debut live show Angelos & Barry: The New Power Generation to The Witham.
The duo regularly perform together on their award winning podcast, discussing as they describe it, “Current events, past events, other things and things we haven’t thought of yet.”
Described as “barmy banter; a puerile delight” by The Guardian, and “a ramshackle hour of quirky laughs” by The Evening Standard, organisers say comedy fans in the dale are unlikely to have come across anything like them
Funny Way To Be promoter Peter Dixon said: “Angelos and Barry have proved a fantastic double act with their critically-acclaimed podcast, and we can’t wait to have them perform live for us. If their previous work is anything to go by, we’re expecting the unexpected.”
Tickets are £15 and are available now from funnyway tobe.com or the Witham Box Office. The show is suitable for ages 16+.
