CHILDREN at Oakley Cross Primary School were thrilled to have television heroes Police Interceptors open their new reading hub.
The reading room, which has comfortable seating and heating, is designed to encourage the youngsters to read more.
The opening began with an assembly in which the officers read books with the children followed by a question and answer session in which the pupils learned why the officers carry guns and the training they have done.
They also quizzed the police officers about their favourite books, music and food.
