BARNARD Castle FC’s youngest footballers are certainly among the best dressed thanks to the support of a number of sponsors.
The U7s have county councillor James Rowlandson to thank for their training tops, while the worst of the winter weather will be kept at bay thanks to coats supplied by Bodywork Direct. The home strip comes courtesy of Barnard Castle charity The Clique, while MWE Electrical has provided the away kit.
Ensuring the magic sponge and the rest of the first aid equipment is up to scratch are the Friends of the Richardson Hospital.
The U7s, coached by Martin Robinson and Stephen Bailey, have enjoyed a good start to the season, playing in the Teesside Junior Football Alliance.
Meanwhile, Barnard Castle FC has taken delivery of a defibrillator which was part funded through the FA. The heart start machine will be installed at the club’s Green Lane headquarters.
