IT’S party time in the dale this Saturday when Mickleton Live welcomes the Urban Voodoo Machine to the village hall.
This will be the London-based music collective’s third festive foray to the Teesdale music club. Led by Norwegian-born songwriter and frontman Paul-Ronney Angel, the group features up to 12 members at any one time.
For this visit to Mickleton, a seven-strong cohort is expected and will play everything from gongs to guitars, banjos to bass.
Not surprisingly, the audience can expect a variety of genres during the high energy show.
Sue Brown, of Mickleton Live, said: “Without doubt they are one of the best bands on the UK live circuit. Having been a fantastic success for out 2015 and 2016 Christmas parties, we have got them back again to celebrate Christmas 2017.”
She added: “We enjoy having the The Urban Voodoo Machine at Mickleton because it always turns out to be a great party night. It does seem as though it’s becoming a bit of a tradition with us – and the band say it’s their Christmas Party.”
The show takes place on Saturday, December 16, and a few tickets are still available – £20 in advance or £22.50 on the door. Support on this occasion from folk-punk band Bubamara.
