The Stephen Mitchell Memorial Fund donated £600 to Middleton-in-Teesdale and Newbiggin Parish Council to pay for two new recycled plastic seats for the Wesley Terrace play area.
They benches were installed late last month.
Councillors and members of the late Stephen Mitchell’s family all agreed that the new seats are a great asset to the play area and are sure to be appreciated by the many parents and grandparents who take youngsters to enjoy the play park’s many facilities.
