BUDDING musicians are preparing to hit all of the right notes during a festive performance in Barnard Castle.
The TCR Hub will be playing host to a Christmas concert this weekend which hopes to showcase the work of students who have been rehearsing at the centre’s studios.
Solo piano work, cello pieces, vocals and local bands will be heard on stage on Saturday, December 16 from 6.30pm.
The Teesdale Soul Band and The Halcyon Singers will also be performing followed by a one-off joint piece featuring music teachers from The Hub.
Tickets for adults cost £7 and include a mince pie and mulled wine on arrival. Tickets for children cost £3 each. The cafe will be open throughout for refreshments.
Deputy manager Laura Carrick said: “We are holding a festive event to showcase the work of the students. Everyone is welcome. It is for the whole community.
“It is a good opportunity for prospective students and their parents to see what goes on at The Hub so they can see what people can achieve.”
A performance from Melanie Edmenson School of Dance will also be taking place at The Hub at 2pm. Joint tickets for both events are available.
