Friends and family gathered to witness a wedding with a difference in Ingleton last week.
Children from Ingleton Primary School took part in a mock wedding which was held at Ingleton Parish Church on Wednesday, May 24.
Revd Ken Steventon led the ceremony, during which the bride Isobel Bettney and the groom Ronnie Raper exchanged their wedding vows.
The happy couple were joined by fellow year two pupils including best man Jack Rowlands and bridesmaids Isabelle Radestock, Isabelle Turner, Aaliyah Bennett and Aoife Metcalfe. Lucy Deakin and Finlay John also joined the wedding party as page boys.
Parents, grandparents and great-grandparents gathered in the church for the special occasion.
The congregation also witnessed the pretend baptism of baby Samuel James.
Headteacher Judith Pressley said: “We do this every year. As a Church of England school it is very important the children know the meaning of marriage and baptism as part of the Christian way of life.
“A lot of them have never been to a wedding or a baptism before so it is nice to give them that experience of taking part.”
The wedding cake was cut during a special reception back in school.
