HUNDREDS of people added their names to a campaign calling for the NHS to be better resourced.
Members of the Teesdale Labour Party branch were out in Barnard Castle earlier this month asking people to sign up.
Labour member and town councillor Judi Sutherland said: “We were collecting signatures for a petition which calls on the government to resource the NHS properly. We got 250 signatures.”
Cllr Sutherland said the event was part of a national Labour Party effort.
Local Labour activists are also planning to run a street stall on the first Saturday of every month to coincide with Barnard Castle Farmers’ Market.
