BOWES FC continued their unbeaten start to the Crook and District League season with a 5-1 dale derby win at Evenwood Town today.
The visitors were 2-1 up at half time and added three more in the second half.

In the second division, Glaxo Rangers continued their excellent form with a 5-3 away win at Wearhead United and are up to third in the table.
Not such a good day for West Auckland Town in the Northern League, who lost 2-0 at home to Whitley Bay after playing for about 70 minutes with 10 men.
In rugby, it was another excellent day for Barnard Castle, who won 31-10 at home to Horden.
