CHARITABLE spirits were on full show for Comic Relief across the dale.
Woodland Primary School turned red last Friday with cakes, games and red nose hunts helping raise money for good causes.
All activities, including a “maraca Mexican wave”, were organised by Woodland’s school council.
Butterknowle and Staindrop were two others to get in on the red theme for Comic Relief which marked its 32nd birthday last week.
Meanwhile, Gainford school combined their red nose day with World Book Day, which they had postponed from earlier this month.
