Mr Jones, who turns out for Aldbrough St John, said he was delighted to represent the league when he presented the A division trophy to the club ahead of last Saturday’s home match against Middleton-in-Teesdale.
He noted it was the third time he had presented a trophy to Raby Castle this season – the club also won the A division knock-out cup and the league's Cec Leece Cup.
In addition, the club also won the F B Howell knock-out cup, organised by Cockerton CC, defeating West Park RA in the final.
Mr Jones said: “This team has grown over the last few seasons and is a very fine side.”
He noted it was only the third time in the league’s history that Raby had taken the title – the first was in 1962 and the second on 1990.
Accepting the trophy, skipper Joe Dent congratulated his team.
“It takes some dedication and commitment – it doesn’t just happen. We also have a great pitch to play on. Long may it continue.”
