Steven pots his way to success in Barnard Castle snooker tournament

“A GREAT success.”

That was the verdict of all players who took part in a total score snooker tournament played at the Teesdale Wanderers Club.

Eleven players took part in the event which was played over 55 frames, in what turned out to be a day of intense snooker action.

Cash prizes were sponsored by Ken Coates and the Friends of the Teesdale Wanderers.

The overall winner was Steven Brown, with Joshua Normanton taking second place and David Dye coming third. Other awards went to Peter Normanton for achieving the highest break, Susan Staley who was the best performing female player and Jonathan Staley, the best performing junior player.

Club members are looking forward to the next competition, the summer knockout, for players of all abilities.
