Comedian Nick Helm brings first national tour to Barnard Castle

TEESDALE’S comedy fans are in for quite a ride when comedian and wannabe rock star Nick Helm returns with his new show.

The funnyman will bring his new show There Is Nothing You Can Do To Me That I Haven’t Already Done To Myself to The Witham, Barnard Castle, on Friday, November 3.

The popular TV star last brought his high-octane combination of stand up, music and poetry to the town in 2015, and will his return to the town as part of his first nationwide tour.

In his new show, he preaches that it’s time to take ownership and rise from the ashes as people learn to believe in themselves again.

British Comedy Award winner, double Edinburgh Comedy Award nominee, BAFTA nominated filmmaker and star of BBC3’s Uncle, Nick Helm can also be seen in his BBC variety show Heavy Entertainment, Live at the Apollo, and is a regular on 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown.

He also recently completed a new series for Dave TV, Eat Your Heart Out Nick Helm, where he set out on a highly personal culinary journey around the UK.

Promoter Peter Dixon, of Funny Way to Be Comedy, said: “Nick Helm is a unique comedian, and one we’re very excited to be hosting as part of his first nationwide tour.

“Nick is a livewire; you never know what he’s going to get up to at his shows, but you can always guarantee it’ll be a riot.”
