Husband and wife to perform in aid of arts centre's piano fund

THE third in a series of concerts raising money for a new grand piano for The Witham, Barnard Castle, takes place on Saturday, March 25.
It will feature Nadine Andre on the piano (and drums, but not at the same time) and her jazz drummer husband Paul Cavaciuti (swapping places sometimes with his wife).
They follow in the wake of two successful shows featuring Murray McLachlan and family, then Noriko Ogawa.
The latest concert is again at Barnard Castle Methodist Church and will start at 7.30pm.
Nadine is an experienced concert pianist and teacher who enjoys ragtime and jazz as well as the classics.
Husband Paul is also a busy performer and teaches as well.
Half of their programme will be called “The Missing Drum Parts” featuring composers ranging from Bach to Rachmaninoff.
The other half, “A Musician’s Guide to a Happy Marriage” includes music by Fats Waller and Cole Porter.
Organiser John Lowles said: “This promises to be an unusual and very entertaining concert.”
Admission at the door is £10 (£2 for under-18s) which will include interval refreshments. For further information, call 01833 630105.
