Pastor flies in from New Zealand to marry couple at The Bowes Museum

A PARTY of New Zealanders made an 11,000 mile trip to celebrate a couple tying the knot.

The bride, groom and more than a dozen of the congregation travelled half way around the world to see Amanda Mason and Tony Maera marry at The Bowes Museum last week.

Pastor Robyn Edmonds also made the journey from Auckland to marry the pair.

Ms Edmonds said: “She is a mate and she is part of our family.”

Mrs Maera is originally from Shildon but came back to England so her mother could attend the ceremony.
